Every three years, the Lutheran church gathers 30,000 high schoolers from around the country together in one place for 5 days of high energy worship, Bible study, service, and a whole lot of fun. In summer 2024, the Youth Gathering will be in New Orleans, LA.

Not only will we be gathered with 30,000 other young people hearing about all the ways God created us to be, we’ll encounter the abundant culture of New Orleans. It’s a great opportunity to grow deeper in our faith as well as cultivate and nurture our relationships here at Peace.

Tell me more about the cost?
We estimate the Youth Gathering to cost around $1,400 per student. We’ve tried to go on the high end, with the biggest variables being transportation and food.

How are you getting there?
Chapter Bus.

I’m an adult, and I want to go too!
Assume, we are hoping around 100 students will go from Peace, meaning we need lots of adults serving as Small Group Leaders. We try and keep about a 1/9 adult/student ratio. That being said, Small Group Leaders can make or break the experience for youth, so there will be extra time for leader training.

Did you say “100 students” from Peace?
Yep! The Youth Gathering is an amazing experience and we want as many students to go as possible. But that means there are lots of details and planning that goes into making the trip a success. One of the key ways we do this is to form students into Small Groups; this allows for groups of students to explore their own interests at the Gathering while ensuring we know who is responsible for helping to keep them safe.
