Holy Baptism

In the Sacrament of Holy Baptism we celebrate our inclusion into the family of God. At Peace Lutheran Church, we place a lot of importance on this special event.

We conduct baptisms any Sunday’s 11:10am service, Saturday’s 5:30pm service, or the second Sunday’s 9am service.

We also conduct adult baptisms on the Saturday Easter Vigil (the day before Easter) each year. You can receive an adult baptism at any time, but we set aside a special time during our Easter Vigil to receive adults for baptism.

When your child is baptized at Peace Lutheran Church, they receive a special gift from the congregation. We give every newly baptized child a Faith Chest in which to store all the important mementos of a child’s faith journey. The child will also get his or her name on a wooden dove that hangs on our baptism banner in the gathering area. The dove with your child’s name will hang on our banner for one year, then we’ll send you the banner on the anniversary of the baptism.
