What does a communion server do?

They come up to the altar when called right before communion distribution. You will receive communion from the pastor and then proceed to the station that the pastor assigns you. Then you distribute communion and return the elements to the altar. When distributing the bread you say "Body of Christ, given for you." When distributing the wine you say, "Blood of Christ, shed for you."
